Finishing a 40 mile section in Hot Springs, NC - Where to Stay in Hot Springs?

Stayed at Iron Horse when I went through. Clean and comfy. Reasonably quiet...until the southbound freight came through!! Sounded like it was in the room. Scared the $..! out of me!!!

Agree with that one! On the other hand, it's really just all eat up with charm, isn't it? The train woke me up both nights I was there, but didn't keep me awake. Nice cozy bed and good food put me right back to sleep.
