    I actually figured it out. See every time you hike, you subtract that time from the "sort things out thing" which inturn buys you more time. Its easy keep walkin.

    i know a Marine that had a "horrible experience while there" in Vietnam. he willingly went back many years later and backpacked the country. did good public relation stuff. go to Canada and walk south to the AT junction. just sayin'

    I hated the Carter Moriah range of the Whites. And the Stecoahs of NC. I hope to return and pay homage, esp to the Carter range where I almost hurled my backpack over the edge.

    I'm thinking about hiking Crawford Notch to Pinkham Notch again in September, if I can find someone willing to take me.

    Don't you have to go back to school in September Kirby? It may help your feelings of disorientation and loss to get back to school, spend time with friends, get involved in the community, and focus on studies. It may give you some direction.
