Hey guys, I'm just wondering if any other class of 09 thru-hikers are planning on running the new york city marathon this November.
If so, get in touch with me!

I'm planning to run a marathon next year, maybe in Philly? My joints and feet can barely handle trying to run, I'm getting there- slowly. How are you able to train after just finishing a thruhike? It's been almost a month for me and I still hurt.
I'm planning on running a half marathon at the Seattle marathon at the end of November. My feet were hurting for a week or too after finishing (I summited on Sept 10th), but I'm feeling fine now.
Don't Panic
I did the NYC marathon a few years ago (2005). It was like a 26.2 mile long block party! A marathon is a wonderful way to see a city!
My two friends are from that area and were also in the marathon, so I was able to get a non-tourist tour of NYC before and after the race. I even stayed at his sister's house at a brownstone in Brooklyn. Pretty cool!
Have fun.
