Stumpknocker is having a heck of a hike. He started hiking the AT early in the year, got off the trail and biked across the country with Mrs. Gorp, then got back on the trail and is in PA! This is his 5th ( I think) hike of the AT. Great journal and awesome pics. He usually updates it everyday if you want to follow it. Hikerhead and I had the pleasure of visiting with him when he came thru Roanoke. We ate at The Homeplace. Rock on Stumpy!

Crazy hike, wish I could have met him. I'll have to find out if he's going through Portland on his way back.

He's in Millnocket, waiting for the ice to melt on Katahdin.

the climb has been closed for bad weather for the last several days.

    Per his trail journal.

He is now done with his 2008 hike (#6). He is planning on spending some time in the north this winter and on to another trail next year.

Gmail?? I've been slowly catching up on my email. I know....I'm bad!!

I might answer sooner if I didn't have to hear everything you're having for dinner. Like I really care that you are having some "mighty good chicken" for dinner.

Isn't this a "hiking" site?? Shouldn't we be talkin' about walkin'? Where are you walkin' next??

Just going out to do mostly day hikes with the snowshoes on. May do some longer sections where roads are closed and spend a few nights out along the Trail.

    Just out playin' for now.

What are "peeps"? Are they any good fried??
