I've worked on trail crews enough to know what I'm in for, but have no idea what to expect. HA!
If there's anyone experienced out there starting around the same time that's willing to hike with me for the first week (or more, if we have the same pace), I'd like to pick your brain in-situ.
Also, if anyone has a dog that I could borrow for about 6 months, that'd be AWESOME.

Well my hiking partner bailed and have not heard from him so I am changing my start to at Least March 2009 (after the 5th) at "AFSP". So I wanted to let people know.
Origionally it was Feb. 26th, now I am still open to someone to hike with! Either way I will begin at the Park shelter on the 6th of March.

I graduated in May 2008, worked in Estes Park in the National park at a summer camp, working at Copper Mountain for the Winter then headed out on the AT with my best friend since 1st grade. Livin the Life!

I have laid deeper plans that insure this year will be my Nobo AT hike and PCT will be waiting another year.
I cant wait. When I was Sobo I loved the weather(even the rain in Maine) but I very much am beginning to be a believer in the Nobo hike. Ending with Vermont, New Hawmpshire and Maine just seems like so much more to look forward to than Springer. I just can't wait to get to see all the places I went this year again, and see what I missed.
I haven't looked into my exact times yet, but I am kicking off on the date that puts me closest to Greensboro NC April 12.
