    I like this. Good move by the NPS imo. Much better name aesthetically and historically/culturally appropriate.

    I like the name change. The Cherokee have been in the Smokies for thousands of years, so it’s appropriate that the mountain is called by the original Cherokee name.

    I like the idea of using more Native American names for places.

    Maybe they could do that in New England instead of using a single set of town names they brought from England in multiple states.

    There are quite a few place names that are of Native American origin.

    True about that. Having been section hiking in New England in recent years, I've just taken notice of the repeated city/town names from state to state.
