if you do go the 'wrong way' you will be presented with a giant Germanic castle entirely in stone, this is rumor though.

Attention northbounders,,,,,when you see this sign--within 2-3 miles north of Rockfish Gap, if you follow that trail it will lead to a castle....few know of it but it is there. You can't go in but it might be worth a photo-op.
