For northbounders, approximately 2.6 miles north of the Sandy Sod Junction, the A.T. crosses Furnace Hollow Road (also called Middle Ridge Road) in Pennsylvania, and then merges wth with Furnace Hollow for approximately 70 yards to the east This is a view of the A.T. looking north from Furnace Hollow Road.
