Excellent journal...I read about your hike from Glencliff to Hanover. It brought back some good memories of my hike with Debw last year in early oct. We saw very few hikers also for some reason, it had to have been the best time to hike that area. We still had water at the Hostel. Your description of the rock walls and your favorite part of the trail were right on.
