Wife and I met Fantasy Feet just south of Max Patch, TN/NC on Thanksgiving Day, 11-24-05, which happened to be his birthday also. Gave him a Snickers! Fantasy Feet hikes from Mt. Greylock, MA. Apparently lives on the AT for months at a time, never goes into the Whites or Maine. From Massachusetts. Never does a thru-hike, but has over 6,000 miles on the AT, he says.

The details of this image are amazing-- from the tattered Ridge Rest atop the old faded out backpack to the the lumberjack-way he roles his black hat to ride along the top edge of his ear. This photograph tells a story for me. You can really get a sense of this man from the photo. WOW!!!
