I believe this sign was located on the summit of Breadloaf Mountain. It is no longer there. And the current LT mid-point is the junction of the Burnt Hill trail, just north of Middlebury Gap. -

This would have been just north of Skylight Pond and Skyline Lodge, which I thought was north of Breadloaf Mountain, but I'm not sure and I can't find a good map.
