This is a view of the A.T. looking north from a location approximately 0.3 mile north of the Locust Gap Road crossing. Here the A.T. begins an ascent from approximately 1300 feet elevation to over 1800 feet elevation along an old logging road. Shrubbery has been placed along both sides of the road to prevent the use of vehicles. SoBo 1103.8 NoNo 1075.3.
