Aprroximately 2.5 miles north of the Pogo Memorial Campsite in Maryland, the A.T. descends from the ridge line of South Mountain and continues north along the west side of the mountain. This is a view from the A.T. looking east at a point approximately 3.3 miles north of the Pogo Memorial Campsite. Now that the A.T. is below the top of the ridge line, there are some nice rock formations to the east, or right side of the trail. SoBo 1135.3. NoBo 1043.0.
