Description for Thomas Knob Shelter

This was what I awoke to on 3-30-03 at Thomas Knob. Everyone in the shelter had at least an inch of snow on top of them, the wind was blowing about 30 mph and the temperature was 22 degrees.

We know about the loft...but there were 15 boy scouts under the age of 13 upstairs. I think I would prefer the snow. -

Its all good and manageable---IF you are prepared and knowledgeable about winter hiking!
