Re: Standing Indian Mountain
Thanks! It has been both a blessing and a curse on the trail. Sometimes shows me I am a long way from the top when I want to get there soooo bad. -

I'm looking for a alti watch, would you recommend yours and what kind is it? -

Re: Standing Indian Mountain
I have the Suunto Vector. I have had it for almost five years, and despite losing the bezel in Kosovo, it has served faithfully. It is going to Afghanistan this year and we'll see how it holds up there!
I especially like the altimeter function while hiking. As long as you keep the barometric pressure updated it remains pretty accurate. The backup compass is nice, but I still carry a lensatic as well. -

I have that watch too. I swapped out the band (plastic) for a fabric one. MUCH better. Love the altimeter when climbing mountains, but yes, only if you keep it updated at the foot of the mountain first. LOL
