The Boy Scout Troop in Moulton, Alabama camped near the tree line here on July 2, 1998. We were doing the Winding Stair Gap to the NOC section to celebrate our 100th consecutive monthly camping trip, the majority of which were backpacking trips. One of my scout's birthday was that day and I packed in a birthday cake for him (and us) to enjoy after supper.
