After passing the western most parking area in Caledonia State Park, the A.T. begins a steep ascent from approximately 970 feet elevation to over 1300 feet elevation on the south slope of Chinquapin Hill. This is a view of Hooligan and Paddy the Beagle hiking northbound through the park toward the foot of Chinquapin Hill. SoBo 1105.5 NoBo 1073.6.
