Isn't this the invasive exotic species from Asia? Japanese Honeysuckle, or some such? For trail maintenance in Nashville area, workers commonly pull these things out of the ground, roots and all, if it's what I think it is. The berries are not good for native birds.

I am very curious about these berries. I have 30 or more bushes on my property. Does anyone know what they are called and if they are edible?

It appears that the berries have a waxy surface with a round knob on the bottom, in which case they would NOT be edible.
