This shelter is nested between the very popular Sterling Pond and the top terminal of a ski lift. It is a bit dumpy and covered with graffiti.

This area is heavily used so yes, the shelter is pretty beat. Back in 2000 had to stay here during a huge storm and the structure was swaying in the wind to the point I thought it would come apart.

We tore this old dump down and built a new shelter nearby in 2006. This was one of my weekly stops when I was a caretaker in 1975 - it looked a little better then!
