A huge hug and shout out to thru hiker Derreck Terrail who walked over two miles out of his way with a 70 lb backpack and this thirty pound injured dog to make sure she got care. She has been named 'Poptart' and is at the Mitchell County Animal Rescue in Spruce Pine, NC getting good care thanks to this hiker. Poptart sends her love! Safe Journey Derreck.
