This is GrassPicker and Tortoise at Newfound Gap, GSMNP, TN/NC line. It was about 45 degrees and drizzling steady. We had warm cheeseburgers and cold root beer for any thru-hiker who came along. After a two hour wait, Tortoise (of Boone, NC) appeared out of the fog. Monday, March 15, 2004, 3:30 p.m. She guzzled a root beer and took 3 burgers (2 for "Just Jim" at Icewater Springs Shelter).

Some sick part of me inside can't wait to get to see some crazy weather outside of PA, that looks wild!! ... I do know tho after the first taste i'll be back to omg, this isn't cool!
