    A Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians identifies this as a Wood Turtle, Clemmys insculpta.

    That be a Wood Turtle ,actually its not a member of the Tortoise family but the pond and Box turtle family,though i think thats splitting hairs.Its also known as Old Red Legs. Ive found several Wood Turtles near my home.They are good climbers able to climb a 6 ft chain link fence. Streamweaver
