The posted speed limit for all hikers on the section of the AT between Jerry's Cabin Shelter, the Bad Weather By-pass, and Little Laurel Shelter. Photo taken 26JUN2005. (Anyone clocked exceeding this speed will be immediately relocated to serve on a chain-gang at either the Grand Canyon North Kiabab Trail or the Pacific Coast Trail, whichever currently needs the most maintenance.)

Is that 10 mph horizontal or vertical velocity?
BTW, I\'d have rated this photo a lot better if the focus was better. Judging by the exposure, it looks like the weather & light were making getting a good photo tough. Glad that you posted it anyway, though. Focus might not be the best, but I needed the chuckle. -
