Dirty Bird and myself during a break at Devil's Racecourse Shelter. Warning, the shelter is .3 down a pretty steep hill.

If you are heading SOBO and aren`t a purist you can avoid going back up the hill by going across the "Devils Racecourse" and followng that road south til in meets the big road which goes thru the hollow and pick up the AT south at that point...You really aren`t missing anything except the hill you already came down and like 1/3 of a mile downhill into the hollow on the AT
