This is the double blaze you'll see hiking south. The steps go up to another AT footbridge which crosses the Potomac river. Once across the footbridge you are almost downtown Harpers Ferry.

BEautiful here. I remeber walking on a cobblestone street and a train flying by when i was up on the foot/train bridge -
