this is the cairn by the Pinacle. the AT makes a left turn here and a lot of hikers don't realize that if they went straight for 100 yds they would be on the Pinnacle.
the best views in all of PA. -

Almost. First one edge must be sharpened and then buried sharp edge up, 4 inches from another sharpened rock!

The Pennsylvania legislature is working on a bill to require all day-hikers and section-hikers to take one of the rocks from the AT in Pennsylvania home with them. It should take about three weekends to create a smooth trail!!!
