Great job capturing the interior on film. The Cabin certainly has improved since I stayed there. In April 1999 I think the floor on the first level had colapsed and was at some extreme angle and the upstairs was filthy (even for a shelter) and I swept it out with a bough from some evergreen. I don\'t remeber the window either.

i stayed here overnight May 5 2005 with about 5 other hikers...
i wuz SoBo they were all NoBo-ers. -

WOW... cool pic! My next section hike will start at Elk Garden, so I might stay in this shelter. I've read about it lots of times, but have never seen it in photos. Thanks!
