Ah yes, so close to home. I have spent MANY hundreds of hours atthe Mt Peter Hawk Watch just a mile or so from this spot. This is also a great place to see Ravens. A bird that just recently started breeding in this area. A few years ago I saw an immature Golden Eagle migrating down this ridge in late October being harrassed by a local Raven. Very cool!
If you look at the conglomerate stone locally known as \"puddingstone\", you can see striations from the last period of glaciation.
