Both the Appalachian Trail Guide & the Thru-Hikers' Companion list this area as NO CAMPING OR FIRES ALLOWED. But I don't know who would be patrolling that section. -

No camping correct, however like 1/4 mile ... not even, heading north back on the trail you may camp .... making it an easy walk up to enjoy the sunrise.
