can anyone identify? Hiking North of Hughes Gap spotted this flower on Roan Mountain, TN, 8/10/12.

    It's spiderwort and it's edible and it can actually be used to detect radiation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tradescantia

    Spiderwort . . . Thanks john gault! Now I can identify another flower . . . (which puts my total of recognizable flowers up to about 5 - Doh!)
