Approximately 1.0 mile north of Center Point Knob, the A.T. merges with the remnants of a narrow gauge railway that had been constructed in the 1800s to mine iron ore for the Carilisle Furnace, which can still be seen in Boilings Springs, Pennsylvania. This is a view of the trail looking north along the old narrow gauge railway bed from a location approximately 1.0 mile north of Center Point Knob. SoBo 1069.1 NoBo 1110.0
