Ascutney Mountain in the distance

Kerosene I believe that is actually a small ski area near Woodstock Vermont called Suicide Six. The AT in Vermont passes very close to it.

I think Suicide Six was one of the first ski areas in the U.S.

Oh yeah, I remember this place. The deceptive management of the lodge there put out a continental breakfast buffet... no menus, prices or displays. Then they wait until you\'re almost done eating and hit you with a bill. Well hey if I knew this breakfast was going to be nine bucks I woud\'ve sucked on my thumb. Maybe added some salt.
We hiked up the ski runs to the top and goofed around on the chair lift ladders. Nice time, beautiful countryside. Went canoeing down the river separating NH and Vermont near there. Nice photo of old memories.
