Approximately 0.7 mile north of the Carlisle-Harrisburg Pike, U.S. Route 11, crossing and approximately 0.2 mile south of Bernheisel Bridge Road in Pennsylvania's Cumberland valley, the A.T traverses from woodland to open pasture land while crossing a large power line. This is a view of the trail looking south from approximately 0.7 mile north of U.S. Route 11
