Brown Mountain Creek Shelter just south of US-60 outside of Buena Vista, Virginia.
Brown Mountain Creek fronts the shelter. New, solid privy is up the hill in back of the shelter. Little direct sun but a pretty location.

I agree Kerosene that this shelter is in a beautiful location. The privy had just been built when we came through.

I was just checking on what's ahead for me shelter-wise. Starting to really get antsy re:returning to the trail in May.

Had a fantastic Easter Morning Breakfast here back in '81. Eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, American fries, English muffins, juice, coffee, tea, cinnamon buns, the works! All that and GREAT company too!
