I love it when the snow sticks to the trees. I actually prefer 3-4" of snow on the trail, which in my mind helps with your footing (but then again, I also ski). A few weeks ago it snowed in the high Tennessee mountains around Roan, so I got to walk through snow for about 35 miles. Highlight of my trip!
