For northbounders, north of the Rocky Mountain Shelter the A.T. traverses through and around several large rocky outcrops while making a 3.0 mile descent to Caledonia State Park. This is a view from the trail looking west from a location approximately 0.3 north of the Rocky Mountain Shelter. Don't worry, the trail doesn't go up there. Hooligan just likes to climb rocks.
