A shelter on Mt. Bigelow in winter 1982. Probably in the col between West Peak and Avery Peak That's the tip of the roof showing.

    I love big snow. I think this is a great shot. I would like to have been there to see that. Makes me want to burrow into it and spend a night or two.

    Cool! I love big snows also. I still remember getting pounded when I was a kid growing up in Vermont and New Hampshire.

    Man, what a snow! How'd you get there, or did it snow at night while you were in shelter. Did you wear snowshoes? That's and 8' drift by the Shelter there. What fun....great photo. KZ@

    This looks like the location of the Avery Col shelter. The shelter was removed because of wear and tear on the land nearby. Tent platforms are avaiable now.
