Came through there last summer. The trail is VERY poorly marked for NOBOers. NOBOers come out near that brown National Forest sign, but the trail doesn't go straight across the road. Hikers must do some "road walking" towards the west and around that dangerous bend. Why there is no double blaze warning hikers and directing them to the left (west) is beyond me.

Yeah, walk toward Tennessee, don't walk into North Carolina.
