Description by Irish Eddy
Approximately 1.2. miles north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76, and approximately 0.9 mile south of I-81, in Pennsylvania's Cumberland Valley, the A.T. crosses Carlisle Pike, also referred to as Harrisburg Pike, U.S. Route 11, via a concrete foot bridge. Just north of the footbridge, on the west side of the A.T., is a short side trail which leads down an embankment to U.S. Route 11. This is a view of the side trail looking west from the A.T..
