Unfortunately this view of Katahdin from Daicey Pond is no longer on the trail due to the thoughtless acts of irresponsible thru hikers. Baxter State Park was getting too much attitude from hikers so the A.T. was moved.

Just beautiful - makes me want to hike my way there again. Actually, it takes a lot less than this awe inspiring photo...like just being awake for example, but it is quite inspiring.

awe inspiring photo..its too bad the AT has been moved from here..it would make a good weekend backpack trip...
