This is a view of the A.T. looking south from a location approximately 0.3 mile north of the Locust Gap Road crossing. Here the A.T. follows an old logging road, which has shrubs planted on both sides of the trail to prevent vehicle access, and a stone staircase to facilitate the ascent to the Quarry Gap Shelter.
