Actually this photo was taken north of Boiling Springs and South of Duncannon. The suns rays must have melted the rocks....
And not all of Pa had rocks. I remember two or three ten foot long sections that were rock free... -

I remember those 10-foot long rock-free sections also! I just wanted to stand there for a few minutes to give my feet a rest.
