On Pearis Mtn, Va. Close to Pearisburg. It seemed all of these were orange except for this one plant. Please correct me if I misidentified.

    Great picture! All the ones we saw were pale pink...Big sections of these made the trail smell SO wonderful!

    There was a thur-hiker in 1995 who used that as his trail name. He was hiking with his brother. Nice guy.

    The Flaming Azaleas were gorgeous. Loved the Rhodedendrons, azaleas and mountain laurels on the trail....Hmmmm Maybe I can plant some of them on my property...
