30 years ago the Appalachian Trail inside Baxter State Park followed a different route between Daicey Pond and Katahdin Stream. If you canoe the Grassy Pond Outlet, and keep your eyes open, you'll see this old AT marker.

Now that the AT has been re-routed to this original section hikers pass by this marker every day! I wonder if any of them know what it is?
