We brought a friend hiking along, new to the A.T. He wanted to leave some trail magic behind. It's at the campsite near the bottom of Cowrock Mountain (going sobo). Any takers?

Realize that animals will likely get to this package before other hikers, and that other hikers coming north out of Neel Gap are already carrying enough food with them. Hand out such food in person, or leave in a 'hiker box' at a hostel or hotel. -

Ah, I didn't even think about that. I'll definitely remember that for next time. It was really our friend's trail magic, so I'll just keep letting him think some hiker found the goodies.
