Unfortunetly this pretty spot is accessible by a rough dirt road and is frequently visited by 4x4 trucks, ATV's and their drivers who often come with beer and occasionally guns to spend the night celebrating the beauty of the Green Mountains in their own raucous way. Usually more peaceful during the day, a nice spot for a break on your way up Killington.

    I did a pen and ink drawing of this shelter from one of my photos. I thought that the rock fire place made this shelter interesting. My photo did not have the fall colors or I might have painted it in acrylics.
