These were very smartly attached to the rock. No bolts could be seen. They must have drilled holes in the rock, screwed in bolts, cut the heads off and then drilled holes in back of the wooden steps and slid them over the bolts. That's the only way I could see them being attached to the rock. They appear to be glued in place. Very Sturdy.

gotta love the fishin' jimmy trail... I've heard of a hiker in the Whites who compares every other trail, when someone asks how difficult it is, to the Fishin' Jimmy trail. sweet.
