Well it certainly offers "shelter" even if it is a bit more fancy (and expensive) than most A.T. shelters. This is the AMC's biggest Hut with a capacity close to 100. If you don't get work for stay (thru hikers only) than expect to pay around $70 for a nights stay (if there is room). There's always "The Dungeon" for $8.
