Description for Hangover Clearcut

I think it had something to do with a forest fire down the mountain. Why they had to cut up this high is a mystery.

Hangover Lead does border the Wilderness and wilderness areas have certain protection from such things as chainsaws...where is this?
looks like they're trying to form a new bald?

If there was a fire nearby and it was not easily accessable they may have enlarged this area for Heliport reasons but unlikely. I have seen this done before but mostly out west.

This has been done since the last time I was there...Glad I didn't have to see it first hand... That's really ugly..

Hangover is not easily accessible... It's a pretty tough hike up there..but a nice one...and not crowded ..at least not when I have been up there...from Big Fat Gap...
