OutbackHack

November 2004. Looking south near High Top shelter in the SNP. Probably about 15 degrees at the time and a cloud had just rolled over the top of the mountain coated the tops of the trees in rime ice.

For anyone curious / more knowledgable than me. Here's a close-up of the ice that had formed on the trees. http://whiteblaze.net/forum/vbg/showimage.php?i=10445

Is there a term for this kind of phenomenon?

    Great shot, very nice!

The ice is called "rime ice." Here's the Wikipedia entry, which explains it very well.
